Broken Cave Loot, best way to get high end BP's?

I am trying to decide how to spend my time getting good loot. I was used to solo'ing the newer snow cave because there were always 3-6 loot spawns in the cave, but as most know the loot respawn is broken and was not fixed with the new cave updates amazingly.

Now, in place of always red or yellow loot crates there are many blue crates and only really respawning when a restart happens. This is crazy.

With that being said, and now the underwater loot crate being unable to be blocked, what is the best way to get good drops? Is it put hours into underwater loot runs? SE land loot runs? Alpha Mosas for fishing bp's to go fishing?

I have figured out how to kill alpha mosas now, but after killing 5 of them only 2 blue fishing rod single items have dropped. I am getting really frustrated about sinking time into this game when nothing comes from it.

The swamp cave is pretty good - 2 red crates every hour or so, and takes 10 minutes (or less if you block some of the cave with buildings) to reach them. This cave has a similar issue, but luckily only with yellow crates. Yellow crates only spawn 3-4 times, before not respawning until an update happens.

The snow cave seems to respawn loot maybe 3-4 times, especially the top first room. That one respawns a lot, the deeper ones do not.

Are you saying the swamp cave has the same problem but happens less? I found the swamp cave very difficult to solo.. but bringing a baby bear or other dino could make it much easier. Never thought of doing foundations to block the spawn of them in the first few rooms, thats a good idea will talk it over with server owner

Hmm, well I usually go into the swamp cave with 300%+ melee and a decent pike. Since the 5.0 difficulty, I take an enduro stew nowadays, as a few dragonfly bites are inevitable. However, if you just backpedal whilst piking/moving left and right a bit, you can take all of the monsters in the cave with no trouble.

The swamp cave has 3 crates - all of which respawn twice per run at certain parts of the cave. However, the yellow crate will always stop respawning (at all) until the game is updated, whilst the red/blue will always be lootable twice per trip.

interesting, i will try that build out. I do speed of 150 and fort of 50 for snow cave, health 400 and a mix of enduro, laz, fria and hooks and compound bow. I used to be all about melee, i will try a melee build with my buddy.

I forgot the armor combo for the swamp, what do you use? We had a recent wipe of server about 2 months ago so we are just now getting the bp's and dont really have any good scuba or swamp bp's, just some fur flak and riot
