Single player only?OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0
can we use this in single player yet? i see they changed something in the patch notes about it. but can we change it yet for us single player folks

Yes, you need to put OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0 under [ServerSettings] section in the GameUserSettings.ini of your WindowsNoEditor folder in the Ark Config files. I don't presume that you aren't already aware of that, I just figured I'd be specific as possible in the event anyone ever stumbles across this in the future via a search or something.

Edit: No, no "?" at the beginning since its not on the command line.

Awesome thanks been waiting for this. It's my knowledge that we can do any value right like 5.5 or 7.1 what ever number suits are difficulty desire?

Yup.. threw mine up to 17 for funzies... spawned with a 510 carno 5 yards off....

Oh, I wasn't aware it worked in the INI as well. So if I add OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0, then The Island will match The Center in 150 max tames?

Also, can I transfer between The Island and The Center on single player? I heard you couldn't do that yet on multiplayer, so I haven't tried.

* "OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0" can now be set in [ServerSettings] INI, not only via the launch commandline ("?OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0")

Just upload then switch map and download

Ok either I'm missing something or I'm doing it wrong because I can't get past a 120 on the island no matter how many dino wipes I do. To be clear I'm talking about single player only. I entered the line exactly like above. I even tried 8.0 17.0 right under server settings line in game user ini file. I get nothing. No dino past 120. I must be missing something.

Yes was testing it out. Had a fun start.... though I think that was max spawn. Amazing luck on my part.

You can added OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.0 to GameUserSettings.ini under [ServerSettings] and it should work.

Placement looks good. You will need to restart the server AND do a dino wipe.

Again this is for single player only and I'm doing this high of a number to see if it's working. Ive already been at this for 3 hours straight with no results. I'm beginning to think that nobody is paying attention to the single player aspect of this topic. I know it works on servers. It never has for single player and that is what im asking about

Single player or Multiplayer you are playing on a SERVER the difference is one is open to people and the other one isn't.

Did do a dino wipe after restarting your game?
