Can you change dino genders?

I really want to know if you can... I've been breeding spinos for days on my private server and everytime I get one that has stats that I want it's female... I neeeeed males.

if you hatch an egg the gender can change on server rollbacks, had this happen with a wyvern lol. hatched a male, named it then server rolled back...hatched it again and named it the same thing only to realise a day later it was a female lol

ya because its nothing untill it hatches as far as the game knows its a new bit of programed entitiy when it hatches there is no digital embrio in there

the stats are determined when the egg is created. you wont get a different dino each time. the only thing that changes is the gender xD so im not sure what you mean by that but yeah....

because the stats are there yes but any variables are not till the digital entity is finalised .. or hatched gonna bet if you do it now you will get ransom mutations that change on sever roll backs

Actually that's what I was going for, I needed certain stats but on a particular gender. So this would work for me nicely.

I wonder why you need males. Generally you need one male and the rest can be be females, for egg production purposes. What other reason compels the gender?

With random mutations and decreasing returns on family lines you are going to need even more new blood and bigger pens... Good thing they put in a base size limit lol

What the dude below you said... I had a bunch of females and only 1 male with stats I wanted. I'm avoiding inbreeding so I needed a male for one of my high weight and melee dmg females but I'm trying to only keep top of the line stats. I finally got my male but holy crap I went through like 600 babies on my private server.
