What is a Legacy and Non-Legacy server?

My English is not so good, please explain this to me, i wanted to give lvls back to my character after servers been deleted (with my survivor) i contacted support and they said " Please be sure the server is a non legacy server. Hope to hear from you soon! ".
What is Non-Legacy?

isnt it the other way around tho? Legacy are the "old" servers. and non legacy are the new ones.

Ummm No......Legacy are the OLD servers with no support. Non-legacy are the new ones.

You have that reversed there bud.


Official Legacy servers= Any official server that existed before August 29th(and still is active now). Only can see them in the Legacy tab in the in game menu.

Official servers= Any official server that started on or after August 29th. Only can see them in the Official tab in the in game menu.


Legacy servers get -no- Customer Support as Wildcard has stated.

If your Pre August 29th server was deleted, any characters or dinos on that server are unable to be played anymore in an official server way. There is a link on the official website where you can find your old official deleted server's code and download it and then apply it to a single player OR make an unofficial server yourself with all those things in it.

Legacy servers are old servers.... thats why they are called Legacy servers. There is no such thing as a Non-Legacy sever. There are Official servers which started on the 29th and there are the older servers which still have people playing on them and they are called Legacy servers. They do nor recieve support. This is a fact. Its the truth. And it will still be the truth whether you believe it or not has no bearing.
