what is a Phiomia anywhy guys?

They are easiest to find in swampy regions, if you're trying to get it for a starting mount just get a parasaur instead.

Easiest way to tame a phiomia is to have a few bolas and 4 dino gates and doors.

Bola the phiomia you want and then quickly place the 4 dino gates and doors so it can't run away and have fun shooting it with tranqs. inside the dino gate trap, it is safe from other dinos.

It's actuallt a probiscid. Closer to a small ancestral elephant.

this is one of the easiest tames in the game. Both in knocking out and taming. Simply throw a bola onto it. slingshot it until its knocked out. Be sure to bring plenty of rocks for ammo. If this is your first, just try taming a lower level one.
Assuming you are on an official server.
Tranq arrows with a bow works just fine.
Once knocked out just feed it berries. Yellow, blue, purple, or red ones.
Make sure it stays unconcious. Use narco berries (black).
Eventually it will be tamed. Throw a saddle on it and ride it.

Dododex and the wiki provide details on each dino and how they are tamed. Some people on here can be helpful as well.

oh my gosh guis, im such a troll for telling some one who is new to ark and doesn't want to lose half of their dinos before they're tamed; to use one of the most common taming strategies in ark that 98% of the playbase community in both pvp and pve use.

gosh im such a trololololo you got me man, gosh how can i ever recover?! ruin. family shame for generations.
