ARK-I cant find a single Quetzal!-Ark

I've searched for about 3 hours every day for the past week. I know their spawns already, the red ob, 50/50, volcano and so on. I saw one with a friend a few days ago.. it was a level 45 and I spent over 400 tranq arrows on it and about 3 hours of work and it got away!...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I know my server allows quetzals because many of my friends own them. These past few days I've seen one and it was a level 55. I tried killing it but it wouldn't die for the life of me! I cant get a single low level to spawn nor can I find one at all! it seems like every time I find a quetzal, its either a high level that wont go down cause i think its glitched? Or i cant find one at all... Can i get some help please? i even made a tranq gun and tried that but it didnt work either. Thanks in advance.

On the island I've found quetzals roaming literally the entire map. This seems tohjold true on ragnarok as well, the only way to find one is to go about ur business and hope you see one, then tame it on the spot.

Due to the increasing number of rare spawns and variety of dinos, ark should make something that can help you track down dinos you specifically want to find. I feel ur pain, searching endlessly for quetzals.

its insane isnt it! i wasted around 1k narcs on arrows to take the 45 out and he ate them all like it was LUNCH, seems like this game doesnt cooperate with me that well, i see youtube vids and they flock to the red ob but when i go there is none... wow

had this personally .......... what is the ping? .........for me it was there was a descrepency in the timing between me and client so although I registered the hit the quetz/server did not .....70 rounds and nothing!
in your current situ I would ask if some of your friends can help as if they drop it you'll know!

i had 3 people on a single one bud. i personally am not from the uk so my ping isnt the *greatest* but i cant go back as i already am stacked, although my friends are based in the uk and none of us could get it.. which means im so confused! i REALLY want a quetz

I think tranq darts are better for quetzals, the game registers them better because they move much faster

Much better to use darts by the way if you truly did mean you were using arrows. Easy to kill qs with arrows. Also, their hitbox is insanely small for how big they are. We find it works best to wait at least 5 secs between shots and to only shoot it right in the butt so to speak. Right by it's tail or underneath it's body. We wasted a lot of darts that didn't register even though they clearly looked like they hit it. As others have said they fly all over. Keep searching and you will find it eventually. As long as no one is killing them or taming them, there should always be one up at least. Just hard to find. Good luck hunting.
