LOL, I've never used it for that, but for building large bases to get the pieces to fit right, and seeing how close that raptor is before it takes a bite when in hot pursuit.
Its been like that as long as I can remember; it does have certain "exploitable" features if players don't know how to set up their bases properly for PVP.
All true, it's certainly got it's uses for PVE, but for PVP, I need it gone. Do you know how to do that Jack?
I hadn't heard it called that. I'll look into it.
EDIT: Any idea how I disable that, or if I can?
I agree.
Any idea how to disable that?
Can you now see through floors from below using the orbital camera?
So far, i have not been able to find a way to disable it.
Floors, no. Foundations are immune, but can still see through walls and under the ground, which is useful to look into cave bases for example, or on the other side of gates / walls with no floors or foundations built.
Just trying to solve a potential problem before it happens. Looking like I can't, since it doesn't seem to be able to be disabled.
The second is forcing a specific key (K) to do nothing. I have no idea how you'd do it in ARK, I only know how in ArmA 3.
Don't know if it's even possible. And this wouldn't prevent someone from remapping the cam key to something else, but I'd say most of your players would just think the orbital cam is disabled. I suppose this would have to be a last resort, if possible.
Now that I think about it you could probably just make a mod that does what I suggested.
It's not just floors.
Tried disabling third person and locking camera to first person, orbital cam is still working.
As far as I can tell, it's not even a client side feature, as I can't disable it in single player either.
