Server version, higher than game client version

Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening? My server is version 271.0 but my game client is 270.1???? Help?

check if steam is updating ark. Most times a verify will fix it

I did just try that. The server version is still showing 271

Yeah this happened to a bunch of people, back up all your files uninstall the server then reinstall, restore all your saves

Hawk is correct. Backup your save and configs, delete & reinstall steamCMD and the whole install folder. Steam configs do not like to go back major versions unfortunately.

So does this happen with any server that updates from 270 to 270.1? My server is still on 270 and I don't want to update it if it's going to break.

This happened to me but in a weird funny way I suppose.

I have 2 servers, I updated one then I updated the second one. The first one updated to 270.0 and the second one updated to 271.0. Lucky for us both our characters were on the 270 but the main server is the 271.

They were updated within 5min of each other and I got 2 different versions. What are the odds of that happening again.

What files do I have to re-install? the whole game or just certain files? I deleted the steamCMD but its still sitting at version 271.

OMG what a PITA! I wish WC can learn how to type decimal points correctly and stop screwing up my server 36 hours of waiting for a fix.

Well I was able to get the server back to 270 but still cant find my server. Lol it hates me today

So, I'm on client version 270.1 while all the dedicated servers are at 270.0, I cannot connect to modded servers, any idea what might be causing this?

I moved the ShooterGameserver.exe and the .pbd,?, from my 270 server to the 271 server and it fixed it.

I tried verifying all 4 of my accounts, 4 different computers, re-installed server completly, reinstalled Content and Seekfreecontent 3x's this weekend and it just dont want to work. Wild Card please FIX!
