CHEAPEST laptop for ark to run smoothly! Please!
I'll start by saying I'm not asking for a cheap laptop just the lowest price. I want Ark to run smoothly on medium or high settings with 30 fps. Thanks in advance!

hey friend. price depends your country or your provider. BUT you have to look for a laptop with MINIMUM req ->
OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
Processor: Intel Core i5-2400/AMD FX-8320 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or better
DirectX: Version 10
Storage: 60 GB available space
Additional Notes: Requires broadband internet connection for multiplayer.

AALSO,i see you want to play smoothy so, go for better system.

that would be a laptop like this:
https://www.one.de/notebooks/one-sondereditionen/gamestar/3601/one-gamestar-notebook-pro-17?c=36

or for high/epic:
https://www.one.de/2567/one-gaming-k73-7m?c=36

but both have the same problems: heat and the weak/slow CPU with slow RAM

Depends what you class as cheap. I bought a used high end custom laptop with an i7, 16gb ram, gtx880 8gb and it runs it great. That cost me £500

i play on asus rog it has a 960m 4gb i7 16 ram cost about 1000 i get about 40-50 on med settings i have a ssd but ark install takes up to much room for me to use it even tho that would probabaly get you another 5-10fps and maybe up some graphics i have heard some people say they would rather play at 20fps and have max grapthics so i gusse its preffernce or if your playing pvp you would probaly want to sacrafice graphics for fps i play pve so fps isnt so importent

Is there a specific reason why you need a LAPTOP, instead of a DESKTOP?

I ask because no matter how good the laptop you will still be at a disadvantage compared to someone on desktop. This is because of the following

- The size of a laptop means you run into thermal and power limitations which will affect the speed at which the machine can operate which in most cases even with the same hardware will be slower than the desktop variant
- Price, you will pay much more for a gaming laptop than you would a even higher performance desktop.
- No ability to upgrade the GPU or CPU on your machine in the future.

So unless you just need the mobility of a laptop then there is little to no reason to get one over a desktop. For the same price point you will spend on a decent laptop you could build a desktop which at least 1 tier higher performance.

Just pointing this out as laptops suck for gaming as you have to effectively throw them out when their gpus get outdated (unless you get one of those alienware laptops with their special external gpu enclosure) and at that rate may as well buy a desktop .

Anyways to get back to your question you will most likely pay around $1500-4000 for a "gaming laptop" unless you buy used and make sure to ignore the store page requirements as they are no where near where they should be as hardware twice or even triple the capabilties of the specs the store page lists dont run well a majority of the time .

Those specs are wrong by miles , many users have alot better setups than those and even the reccomended specs which they still have problems with the game so thats horrible advice but i suspect you are new to the game to not know better .

Ive seen , titans , 7-10 series gpus , 16gb ram all the way up to 64gb with various cpus better than I5s have a problem with the game in one way or another . Its due to wildcards poor optimization that this issue occurs but odd thing is what may affect one set up wont affect another .Hopefully they will get the game running great from the requirements they put out as right now its false advertising of sorts .
generally laptops will have lower res screens so the user won't be trying to push unfounded 4k 120fps performance. it will be more like 1366x768 resolution.

Your wants do not match the reality of playing the game.

A cheap laptop is simply not going to offer you want you want. That's the contradiction.

That's why I said I'm not looking for cheap, money isn't an issue for me but I don't want to buy one that's more expensive than what I need.

I already have a desktop that runs ark easily, but I'm travelling quite a lot so I want Ark on the laptop.
