same for the Ambient Occlusion, it may just need to be 'changed' even if its put back later
but this is for a completely different issue, i just thought maybe they might be connected in that they both where a texture display problem, sometimes just playing with different settings will correct these even if thats not why they started
like for OP you might try changing the Scaling a bit, even if you put it back to 60% after, its possible its not doing this just right for w/e reason and again sometimes these can be 'adjusted' and fixed (very doubtfull for this setting, im just giving an example)
Even if i play at 1080p everything on low settings, and i put textures at medium, my mem goes up crazy!! Its not my system because these are my specs:
i7 5800 3.2ghz
16gb DDR4 Corsair Dominance Plat
Asus 980 Strix SLI
Like i said, ive played ARK for years all on Epic settings, its just the textures above low setting thats causing the issue. Ive tried Google and no one has an answer, but have the same syptoms. Have you found any solution etc?
I use a 750, I3, 16GB Ram I play on high settings 1080p for looks or for fps I play on medium 1080p. I don't know how I do it :P Also I play with 15+ mods... Yeah my PC is rather suprising how fast it runs ark for what it is.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: GTX 1660. i've tried all the suggestions here:
turn off low quality streaming, lowering post processing, lowering ambient occlusion, etc
I *really* don't want to play this very pretty map with low quality textures if i can at all avoid it
