Raising the dino count multiplier by even 1 can cause severe lag if your dino spawn gets fixed.
so you have been on an official rag map where theres plenty of dinos??
Edit: also i know about the increase in dino spawns can lead to lag-
1 is default.. so multiplier of 1, would be default (1x1 =1) .. i was thinking more like 1.001 to start... or even 1.0001
@tony, what is ur NPC count?
Thing is, you go to the snow on the original rate and it's full of animals but in most other areas it's quite barren

The hives tend to stack when dino wiping. Bug that's (bee)n round for ages. It tends to cause a lot of issues with servers.
This command will destroy people's bee hives as well. They will turn to giant bee's again and can be rebuilt, so it's not really and issue.

Its ok like it is.
At the begin the amount of dinos on Ragnarok was higher...this caused performance problems on the server, therefore it was lowered.
The amount of wild dinos should be 30000 - 40000, not more.
If you set the multiplier higher, I recommend you to not go over 1.3 (To not reach more than 40000 dinos).
But for sure its better to let this at 1.0 (Like its designed by the Map Mods)

Yeah, the NPC count right now is like 21k dinos.. and in most areas there is one dino.. MAYBE two.. for as far as the eye can see.. I swam the oceans with a lot of oxy so i was going fast and literally found one shark on the whole north side of the ocean.. So i have to up it a little.. maybe ill try 1.15 just to be safe and go from there..
Can anyone confirm whether this command goes in game.ini or gus.ini ?
I set my DinoCountMultiplier=1.15 - it brough my dino count from approx 22k to 25,832 .. so ill prob go =1.18 - I think 28k would be ok for now. dont want to change it too much and have problems arise
