as ghost suggests you can adjust the server rates for hosted and SP games so you would have to either know the dev (on ded private) or host one yourself to get faster tame rates if you cant find one that suits you
Ark is unplayable unless you no-life it otherwise.
The game's design is odd in that it's designed both for you to be playing 24/7 (single player achieves this because the game stops when you do, obviously), and for you to to be in a tribe.
You're never realistically going to be able to play the game how the devs designed it.
Or play on the weekend when there is taming event.
Can tame a max lvl rex in under an hour.
