GTX 1080 Ti if you want highest settings on PC and Nvidia. Or AMD Vega cards.

First off you need to understand that ark is one of the most demanding games on rigs out at the moment.

From there, there are a few cards that can play the game at epic settings. However each of them, including the gtx 1080ti will suffer performance issues, especially on congested servers with mall sized bases or heavily modded or with lots of dino spawns above default settings for. Performance and fidelity have to have one or the other sacrificed depending on the context of the circumstances.

Next, you have to understand that upgrading just the card is not neccessarily going to be sufficient. If your cpu is old, your ram low, and your psu is low, and or the motherboard isnt compatible with the newer card, then you'll be having to replace those as well or there will be bottlenecks or other issues with performance and fidelity.

if you have to ask its more then you can afford

that wont get stable ultra settings

a 1080ti wont get stable ultra settings

ark is not demanding it's just a mess that was never fixed

on Single Player i play comfortably at all epic settings and 1080p
i7-7700k, gtx1070, 16gb
~55-60 fps out and about with ~45 in my large-ish base - 3 story, porches, 5 outbuildings, full 4x tall wall, etc and 40+ dino's with nametags enabled

I have 1080 (no Ti) and 16Gb RAM I run it just fine for ultra. :)

get the best you can afford and youll still be turning down settings. i think a 1070 is min for 1080p some settings turned down

Retsam1 covered this and before you spend out big money on the gpu just make sure there are no bottlenecks as this game will flag practically ANY weak point in your system

Your question provides too little information to give you a correct answer.

We know nothing about the rest of your system... so you might now have the hardware to support a card big enough to provide the settings you are looking for. You also failed to tell us at what resolution you are wanting to play and/or what fps target you are shooting for.

I mean technically you can play at 4k with full ultra on your 750ti.. the frame-rate is going to be single digits, but technically with the information you provided that answer would be accurate.

Now if you are wanting to know what cards offer the best bang for your buck and will give you performance ultra with a few settings on high at 1080p... then I would tell you to check out either a 1060 6gb or a 1070.

If you are wanting to run all settings are say ultra with 45+ fps at 1440p then you would need to step up to a 1080 or 1080ti. I mean don't get me wrong a 1070 can run 1440p with mostly ultra settings just fine, but if you need to see everything at ultra then that will pose a FPS issue. Then again if you are ok with dipping into the 30's then that same 1070 would work for you.

So as you can see it is impossible to give you a 100% accurate statement to your actual needs because we don't have enough information to determine what those needs are.
