[SOLVED] Corrupt Disk on Updates

Every time this game getts an update i get the Corrupt Disk message.
Reinstalling used to help, but no i cant even download the game without the same message.
i have checked the HDD, and tried on all 4 of them without luck.
Changed dowload region, cleared download folder, run diagnostics on my disks, but nothing works.
I feel kinda helpless since all my other games that is spread over the 4 disks all work and accept the updates without any problem.

Has anyone else had any dealings with this problem?

Do u have anti-virus or firewalls

i have tried disabling firewall and antivirus, and i have reinstalled steam, but no luck.
i dont have anywhere to get an allready updated one

I think i solved it myself. When the [Corrupt Disk] message comes up in the Download section of Steam. hover your mouse over the essage and it wil show you a file location. Follow it and delete that spesific file. Fixed my game.

Hey man, I've literally done everything as well, tracking down the file that is corrupted, but it won't let me delete that file even though ark isn't even on the PC, file is ShooterGame\Content\PrimalEarth\Dinos\Para\Saddle_New\Textures\ParaSaddle_Colorize_d.uasset

This is the 3rd time this has happened to me as well. Getting tired of it. ARK is an absolutely HUGE download and re-downloading every time is really starting to piss me off. The ONLY thing that has worked for me so far is to remove the steam folder on that SSD(tried repairing, no luck) re-formatting the drive then re-creating a new steamlibrary folder and re-downloading to the SSD. I've also tried /scandisk /F etc... all my drives are fine as well. This is getting old and is very frustrating. And yes, same here, this is the ONLY game tat does this and of course it's the biggest download in my library, sadly.

When you uninstall ARK are you also going into your files and manually deleting anything left behind? Steam doesnt always remove games entirely when they uninstall and ARK is one game that it can be bad. I Found three whole sets of ARK files due to this and deleting them not only freed up a ***t ton of space but also removed the corruption error i was seeing at the time as well.

Yo guys ive had this issue heaps. make sure you delete steam and everything. then go to cmd and do a dskchk on your drive itll delete the corrupt files upon restart and then download steam and ark again. if it still says corrup files on download, then you can just hover over the message and itll tell you which file to delete and it should work.

OK i found the corrupted file but it won't allow me to delete it, any suggestion? I am so pissed, spent all day trying to get this update downloaded and play. WTF is with this crap...
