It is important to also note that you need to park those fish only eating dinos far from any other troughs as the overlap radius can make the other dinos still eat first from the fish one set.
Additionally if you need more fish easily, tame an ichthyornis (a low level one, anything over about lvl 50 takes forever to land). They are shoulder pets who will catch fish for you if you set them to "hunt and retrieve" + aggressive.
