Why does the game have to cost so much?

My apologies. I assumed that it had some profound affect on development after it came to light. Although I can't tell wether the lawsuit targeted the company or just Jeremy himself. It sounds like he didn't tie things over with TE before he left. :<

It was just a cash grab on Trendy's part, they sued for 600 million, settled for 40 million, kind of shows they didn't have a case. The only reason WC didn't proceed was because it was have put a hold on Arks development which would have cost them tons more. However, Ark was already partnered with Snail Games and also already had the money for the main game before they entered EA. The additional money from the EA funded a lot of the additional content from feedback as well, which is why they game was pushed back another year. SE simply arrived on schedule so instead of shelfing it they released it. That's kind of the gist of it and most of the evidence for that can be found in the many articles surrounding that time as well as some deductive reasoning.

mate the price you pay is definitly worth it, i have spent ova 2500 hours in this game, i dont think i've spend that much time in any other game, well worth the cost for what you get

I would say he in part is venting and in part having difficulty reconciling the disparity between his wants and the reality of his situation more than any trolling attempt.

... I bought it back when it was 20 bucks two years ago. If you're saying thousands of hours then you're right... for two years worth of playing. As of right now had I bought it I would of had 100 hours in a months span maybe at best, but honestly, you'd have to be a die hard dedicated player to get 1000 within the time it was released at that price. Honestly 2 years as an EA and then full release they hike the price. Nu uh nope, sorry 20 bucks was what got me the first time so when they hiked it they should of gone to 30. Honestly just wait till Halloween game should go on somewhat of a sale and if it doesn't wait till the Black Friday sales in November, or Christmas Sales, you can get your money's worth then.
