I was trying to isolate if this was mod related. My structures are a combination of S+ and Castles, Keeps, and Fortresses pieces. Are you using those mods too?
It just puts a damper on the game. I don't feel like wanting to play if it doesn't work right...
Alternatively, you can also significantly adjust resource rates so that even if you cannot get them to readily respawn, you can instead be able to get the resource you need without having to deplete large swathes of land/areas.
Yea, that's what I'll probably have to do if I were to play. I just hope that this gets fixed soon..
Yes, I'm a bit irked.. Just when the game is running quite lag-less for me and starting to become fun again, along comes a reason why I don't want to play again..
Single player is a lower priority for them to address issues with... around the level of QoL fixes really. Since you can adjust settings or mods or even spawn in anything, they dont consider it an issue of major consequence atm.
A person shouldn't have to change their settings or playstyle because a developer is too lazy to make their game work correctly.
Is anyone else encountering this on single player? Anyone know a fix for this?
Only way to avoid this happening is to set respawn times low enough that you can afford to leave the game running until all harvested resource nodes respawn before closing the game. Anything still not respawned when the local server is killed will be permanently lost, can't even recover them with Re-Fertilizer.
If the game crashes after you harvest a bunch of the crystal and metal nodes, you're basically screwed unless you have a backup of your save.
I could "see" (render) well beyond the shortened resapwn distance. This seemed to be preventing the resources from respawning. The resources don't seem to respawn if their location is within render distanmce. When I reduced the render distance to High, resources started respawning just outside the render distance.
But I notice that with render dtstance on epic and moving into an area. the dinos look like they are still in stasis for a while after they render. They remain stationary for some time as you move toward them, then as you get closer, they will begin moving.about. It is as if the render distance is more than the stasis distance.
I reduced the render distance to High and it seems to have aleviated some of the issue.
It seems "somebody" has allowed the render distance to exceed the stasis distance. Resources don't respawn because the area goes into stasis BEFORE it leaves render distance. They won't respawn if you can still render them, and by the time you are out of render distance they are already in stasis... and so never respawn.
Optimization... Ha !
If structues nearby at the resources they doesnt respawn.
Or maybe u have resource respawn multplier on very high and it need a while to spawn?
Try to do the resource respawn multplier to like 0.01 and try it out.
