Preferred Kibble Giving Low Taming Effectiveness
Lately on my server I have been getting odd results from my Kibble taming. Frequently when I tame dinos with their preferred kibbles they are getting very low effectiveness. For example, today I tamed a 130 rex with scorpion kibble, no meat or anything else, and it only had 64% effectiveness boosting only to level 172 instead of the expected 194.

It was my understanding that as long as you use their preferred kibble throughout the entire tame, you will get just under 100% effectiveness. Are there other factors that will lower the effectiveness? Do server settings have any effect on this? Thanks!

It probably took damage after being knocked out, or you didn't put in all the kibble at once (taming effectiveness will drop if it runs out of food once it's started eating). The damage thing is more likely, though- it's easy to accidentally shoot it again, and if it's not protected by walls or something, wild creatures could hit it, as could any tame you brought along that's not on passive.

On normal rates a 130 rex would get 95.7% efficency and finish taming at 192. (x2 would be 98.8% and 194)

Now if you were to shoot anything once too many times after its been knocked out (which is easy to do, gotta slightly time your shots for the really big tames) you would then loose most of the efectiveness and need to wake it up again and re-knock out.
