Own server only appears on LAN please help!
Iv'e been trying to make this annoying sever work but I can only seem to open it through lan.
It doesn't appear on any unofficial servers or on arkservers.net
I am running the server through Ark server manager and Iv'e opened both 27015 and 7777 ports. Please help!! I greatly appreciate it!

Have you double checked your ISP isn't blocking? Also, make sure you've opened it up on Windows Firewall (sounds silly, but a lot of people forget)

I mean, in windows firewall I see my server there, is that what you mean? And as for the isp blocking, how do I check that?

Port Check Tool : http://canyouseeme.org (just put in your IP address and the port number you are trying to use).

As for Windows Firewall, check this one, it's only upto and including Win7, but you should be able to find Win10 if that's required: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766312(v=ws.10).aspx

Also, depending on what particular system you're trying to run the server on, this might help to some degree (it's not quite as easy as it sounds to do, but this gives a step by step) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l041YS888Hs

And make sure to portforward incoming traffic from port 27015 to port 27015. Routers often use default ports like port 80 as preset destination. Also make sure it's TCP and UDP.

If your server is visible on LAN, its the portforwarding or firewall. Triplecheck all rules.

This is a different method, I use purely Ark server manager while this dude is using the steam cmd directly.

Iv'e checked to see if the ports are opened with another program, so I guess it's the firewall?
How do I verify to see if they are unlocked or whatever?

Can you see the server in Steam?

Go to the steam app. At the top left click on view, then servers. Bottom Right in the new window click on "add a server" info. As an example 192.45.0187:27015

The first numbers being ur local IP address (at the top right of the administration tab in ASM ) followed by a : and the port 27015

When done hit add to favorites. Now it should show up in the servers window. If it does then u are good to go. If not you need to re-config ur router again.

For your friends have the do the same but instead of your local IP give them the public IP (very top of ASM) followed by the : and then the port (27015). From then on you can find the server listed in ur "favorites" in Ark.

I am able to add it but I only see it on favorites and not on the server list. And I am not able to join it through this method, when I hit join it says "unable to query server info for invite". What is the problem for this?

You will not see your own server under unofficial only lan. Your friend will see the server under unofficial. If you are using ASM you must check if the following, Status:Running and Availability:Available. Thats to say if you are running the server from the same network you are playing on.

In the past i used to check t o see if my port forwarding was correct by looking in unofficial even though I could play off LAN only. Maybe thats changed but it definitely used to work. None the less this sounds like a port forwarding issue 100 percent.
