Why 3 pillars? To get the ceiling up high enough that your dinos on follow won't get hung up on them.
Pay attention to the terrain and follow a path that allows good visibilty. Nothing like coming around a turn or over a crest and finding 5 Dire Wolves waiting......

Railings work out well if you want to try your hand at Doed riding races. That was something we did when they introduced the new dino.
