Is the electric prod any good?

I am wondering if this item is any good. I have some acendant ones, but I don't know if I am using them the best way, since they are annoying to recharge every time. I am just wondering if these things have somewhat of a practical use to them. Thanks.

They are great for pvp, one hit knocks almost anyone out.

I usually save them for tames that has a higher kill chance like the bear, having 1 or 2 eletric prods before shooting removes that factor.

or use darts, then u don't need electric prods

i just grind them, for some materials

I found an electric prod once in a drop box. It broke after 1 use.
