Best settings for single player? Timers, mods etc.
Hi,

what are the best settings for breeding timers etc. that you should select for single player?

Also should I try Extinction Core or Annunaki?

These are my settings for single player:

GameUserSettings.ini
[ServerSettings]
TamingSpeedMultiplier=2.5
HarvestAmountMultiplier=5
NightTimeSpeedScale=0.21428574
DayTimeSpeedScale=0.21428574
XPMultiplier=2.5
TributeItemExpirationSeconds=31536000
TributeDinoExpirationSeconds=31536000
TributeCharacterExpirationSeconds=31536000

Game.ini
[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]
LayEggIntervalMultiplier=0.6
MatingIntervalMultiplier=0.9
EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=25
BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=25

It would still need about some hours a Quetzel egg to incubate and another some hours to get juvenile. But if you have it on a server it's not that bad. Day&NightTimeSpeed setting means that my days are about 3 hours long and my night about 1 hour. I like a long night to go out and loot some airdrops with my flyer. But thats a personal liking.

I would also always recommend to host a server for single player for multiple reasons. Some ingame mechanics needs the game to be running to function. One example is the whole breeding mechanic, like incubation, egg hatching, etc. Others are fertilizer etc etc. There are lots of mechincs that will pause when you close a single player session until you start the game again. Some of them needs hours over hours.

I do also increase the amount of engrams I get from level 1 on as when you play alone you don't end up without engrams and can't craft 70% of the items. Here is a tool where you can adust character and dino levels:

Also I use the following mods, I'd recommend for single player:

Ark Advanced 10
Structures Plus
Echo Stacking Storage
Tranq Sniper Bullet
Classic Flyers
Xeno Item Tweaks

Which map should I go on for Extinction Core? Scorched Earth or Ragnarok? I played scorched earth a bit half a year ago. Was ok. Bit annoying storms.

I'd say that's a question of how difficult you want your game to be. Choose Scortched if you want a challange. Getting water there is not that easy in the beginning.

From my feel it takes a bit longer in scortched to reach mid/late game, as you struggle on lots of things in the beginning.

I would rank the maps like this, from a difficulty perspective:

TheIsland=Easy
Ragnarok=Easy to medium
Scortched=Medium to hard

Then I go for scorched earth again.

What should I set for difficulty level? I like high level dinos. Max? 1?

And if I want to kill bosses, I should pimp my stats a bit? What values for damage taken dealt resistance?

Last time I played I disliked that every once in a while I would get wiped out by a lucky dino and had to run back for 15 minutes. So I should make that a bit easier.

I prefer dinos with some higher levels. Difficulty 1 means max level of wild dinos is 150. If you use this mod in addition, it's 240:

Make sure you prioritize the mod before all others to get load. So have it at first in the list, otherwise it might not work. Also install it before generating the map, otherwise you'll need to a) wait quite some time or b) kill all wild dinos and let them respawn.
