Chilliest vs desert cloth

Hi I just wanted to ask for se why is ghillie better against the heat when desert clothe is in the expansion pack and for those people who chose desert clothe why?

Ghillie is better by default (Ghillie's 30 hyperthermic insulation vs Desert's 25 hyperthermic insulation)
It's cheap (costs organic polymer, easy to harvest because of abundance of mantis in the dunes)
More common (like really, check purple/yellow beacons)
Can be crafted in player inventory unlike desert clothes.

Man if u think that organic polymer is easier than silk/fiber/hide ur out of touch with early game.

Desert is best early game armour for SE but ghuilie is superior when u get good bp's

Yeah but if your a 3 man tribe like I am you can easily get those mantises down and it’s only 2 levels until ghillie so it kinda makes desert cloth useless

You know that desert also has a water consumption reduction right? If you're actually playing in SE that makes a difference. Also the helmet helps with sandstorm visibility.

Yeah but visibility doesn’t make a difference when you have a tent and water consumption reduction doesn’t make a difference when you have a water bottle
