Mods not working!

My friend doesn't have this problem but when I want to play the mods that I downloaded won't show up in the mod list.

When I try to delete the mods folder it says "You need permission to perform this action"

Ok, it took me 30 minutes to delete those folders, but what now? Do I subscribe to the mods ingame or do I close the game, subscribe and reopen it?

Mod Installation Problems

1. Close ARK

2. Unsubscribe from all your ARK mods at http://steamcommunity.com/id/YOUR_ID/myworkshopfiles/?appid=346110&browsefilter=mysubscriptions (Feel free to favorite them to keep them in a list)

3. Delete your \steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods folder

4. Delete your \steamapps\workshop\content\346110 folder

5. Use the launch option "Launch ARK (Reset Total Conversion)"
(Multiplayer) Reconnect to your server (You will be timed out while the mods are re-subscribed and re-downloaded)

6. Return to the main menu

7. Wait until all messages on bottom right of your screen go away

8. Try playing again - otherwise see General Troubleshooting below

I did 1-6, but do I subscribe to the mods without closing the game?

Ok, if this is a server from the Ark Browser, connect to it, it will download the mods automatically itself and take awhile to do it.

If this is your own server / local host, you will need to quit ark, subscribe to the mods that you want then launch ark and you will be at step 7 which will download the mods.
