Magical Mosasaurus

So I was at the bottom of the sea floor leveling my Megalodon and in the distance I see a glittering Mosasaurus and when I attacked it the Mosasaurus kind of spun in a circle, kinda like chasing its own tail, which created a small
whirlpool and poof it was gone.... WTF just happened?!?! I looked through my mods and I do not have anything enabled that adds dinos That I could tell All I have is the stack mod reusable tools and the super spyglass.

Its not a mosa its Liopluradon. They are a temp tame tamed with honey. When you tame one it enhances the loot you get from deep sea crates for about 30 minutes before it poofs in a whirlpool of magic

Seems like it was not a mosasaurus. Instead a Liopleurodon.

Good job. They have an AI supposedly that prevents them from respawning around you if you ever attack them. Now, you have to hope that someone else has one spawn near them and you find it if they do not tame it.
At least, that was the way I understood it to be.
