Wear "armor" that helps you resist heat, such as Cloth or Ghillie.
Hide, Flak and Riot can actually make heat/cold worse.
Go inside your hut or building, close the door. You will see a house icon appear on the right. Being inside a closed building increases your level of insulation.
Put points into Fortitide. Among other things, this increases your resistance to heat and cold.
Sometimes these are not enough. I just started a new game today and had an extended period of 110 degrees plus... being in my hut wasn't enough. (Press H to see the temp) I spammed blue berries like a fiend and still nearly ran out of health before the temps abated. Had about 10 points left. Had I been outside.... death.
I have my basic clothes on, hunger and thrist level acceptable, fortitude of 6, get into my shelter, and stll die. Even eatting or drinking does not save me.
Are you on a modded server?
Have you setup base in one of the more extreme biomes?
If dying of heat, go naked. Turn off anything that has a flame, campfire, furnace, torches etc
Eat cooked meat when health drops and your character starts to sigh a lot.
When players say "increase your fortitude", they mean get it up to 20 or 30... or higher.
Yes, it takes points that you could have added to something "more important", like speed, health, or melee.
Melee is always a favorite for new players. Wrong. You are weak. Go up against some "real" carnivores and 200 melee isn't going to save you. You need dinos to do that work for you.
Speed, so you can run. Stamina, so you can keep running. Fortitude so you don't die from exposure out in the wilderness. And the most important... Weight.
The whole map is a extreme biome. Even naked, the heat kills me. Will try with a tent.
Ahhh Scorched Earth, missed that important point, my bad.
use adobe till you can build aircons and power gens then go full metal with spammed air cons every where
useing the tent save you from heat and sand storms its valuble till the metal electric age
