possibly but it looks more like a gas giant (or maybe it has gone to hell like the pangea modern day and future earth of the final boss fight)

Its earth, as shown in the final hologram in the hall of history, dried up and ruined, unable to sustain life. (from here on is a theory of mine) Causing the ♥♥♥♥ deus (the ghost lookin hologram) to put humans and dinos on the arks floating above the ruined earth. Then the ♥♥♥♥ deus decided to find the best survivors on all the arks by making them challenge the bosses and finally the observer, then the best of the best must help save the ♥♥♥♥ deus species (code near the hologram says they are endangered)

i actually think this has something to do with the game being called ark and survival of the fittest mindset and ascending (to godhood jk) maybe theyre testing what creatures and humans are worthy of taking over a reset world (like this is the flood for noah)

Maybe, but if this was the case, how would the ♥♥♥♥ deus create a new earth? why only prehistoric creatures? why not just create one giant ark? Why would they not just do this themselves instead of bringing humans back from extinction?

I believe that its earth but it looks a lot like mars, wich is why i think the Scorched earth ARK is so tough, for all we know the wyverns and rock golems rule the surface along with other harsh more alien creatures. If Earth is to be reclaimed and terraformed only the most fit to survive would be chosen.

The game is called ark, because theres thousands of arks in space above earth. They are called arks because; yes you are correct, its like noahs ark, they are trying to keep life, well, alive during a time of death

Have you even seen the end game cutscene/boss fight? scorched earth and the island and such are just giant biodomes floating in space around the earth.

my guess is if you have ever seen primeval, humans were infected with a genetic disease so we altered our own dna to create ♥♥♥♥ deus, ie. 4 helix dna of immortal gods, also this genetic expirimentation created an ultimate predator to hunt humans, ie. the nameless from aberration. so ark survivers must face different situations in the most hostile enviroments and against the most dangerous creatures all in order to advance and evolve the human race enough to take back the earth

Earth (our current modern era)
Earth millions of years in the future(where our progeny have developed and evolved matter morphing technology.

In the same vein, the "replicators" we see on the station show prehistoric animals, modern humans, and future evolved humanoid mattermorphs.

Now why would ♥♥♥♥ Deus place themselves in the same manner as the other extinct species with an endangerment title if they created the arks? I think they are just another species being preserved.
