Remove transponder node from yourself?

I accidentally placed a transponder node onto myself - how do I get it off?

Death would be the only way to remove it if you cant get it off yourself. Just put your stuff in a box somewhere and die somewheres

You can also fast travel between to Beds to get rid of it.

As stated above... no way to remove the tracker without dying or having someone else remove it that I have been able to find. VERY annoying that this game is so completely unrefined.
