My wife's first play through she tranqed and tamed her first rex that was camping her base at Lvl 20. It destroyed half her base and trapped her in a section of it but lucky for her it was the part that had a container of tranq arrows. She died a few times getting it. Rex's on our sever have 10x the damage of vanilla.
Or that if you are capable of making tranq arrows.
Once you have Plantx, make a plot maybe 100 yards from base set to target All or Wilds.
If you cannot exit your front door then destroy a wall to get out and have one made to replace it.
Honestly in SP you should really only be living in the South or West or at an inaccessible place. I like to use a spot only accessible by flyer. Works great! Just have a back-up flyer.
make about 400 stone arrows and 3-4 bows, and bust a wall a little ways away from him, and shoot him through the gap till he dies or flees.
Wife did it with a Lvl 30, only took her 400 or so rocks
tame anky = > anky farms stone/flint at a decent rate. you can use him for trees, but better dinos can be found for that.
anky sucks as a defender, but you can stockpile stone for the necessities, like sparkpowder, and cementing paste, or stone walls too =)
good defense dinos are those small ... furry birds that eat meat(morphodolololons?). or vultures. angry torpedoes ftw+easy to tame
hopefully the next time it happens you have enough torpedoes that t.dominus becomes casual.
Dimorphodon is what you are referring to. However, I high level anky can defend itself perfectly fine. For that matter, any low level dino is susceptible. A low level rex would not fair well against even a mid level theriz or anything of the sort. I do like dimorphs, but you need a decent amount of higher level one to really defend you. Better off finding a decent saber/wolf/or even a mid level (ie 30-50ish) rex. None of those are hard to knock out or tame, would just take a few hours on official rates, but would offer far better protection at a faster tame than a pack of dimorphs or using a bow to kill things. However, the rex saddle is lvl 74 engram. You might have to wait a bit to be able to ride it.
