Questions about taming Phoenix on Official server.
1- Is it true that there are 3 phoenixes during a heatwave ?
2- How to locate its dust after it disappears ? Or more like , can you see the dust ?
3-Can you tame a phoenix by breathing fire to the dust ?
4-If you have tamed 1 on official server , how long did it take ?

So far over 20 tries and still no Phoenix. Tried flameflower ascendant tried wyvern with 400 damage on levels 25, 15, and 70 best team so far only 20%. Able to trap them when found and repeat on multible heatwaves so long as you're actually there at the Trap when the heatwave starts. My opinion is the Phoenix is currently untamable on official servers at all!!!

To answer your questions so far I've only seen one Phoenix / Heatwave on scorched-earth.
you can see the Phoenix or the dust pile if you're not at the location where these despawn or spawn as it gets stuck in the ground for a few minutes outside of the heat wave. However once the Phoenix is is rendered at it vanishes it is shortly afterwards and you have to basically Mark the Spot. You cannot tame the Phoenix just by I breathing on the dust pile you have to breathe on the Phoenix only during the Heatwave.

1- only 1
2- after it disappear the dust disappear too, but it will respawn in teh exactly same spot he disappeared at the end of the previous heat wave, you can easily lure it to the ground with rare folower and build a trap around it to tame at the next heat wave
3-no clue but if you trap it its gg cause you can start the tame immediatly when the next heat wave starts
4-if i remeber well fire breaths took 3% of progression each, damage on wyvern didnt seem to affect % on taming, id reccomand using a flametrower, much faster

According to the ARK wiki on gamepedia, fire wyvern is the best option to try to tame them, but for arrows and flamethrower should work, too. They should not lose progress if it takes multiple heatwaves, or if they take damage (since that's HOW you tame them). And their ash piles are supposed to be hard to find outside of heatwaves, but yes, I think you can see them, and no, you can't tame them while they're ash piles. You can only tame them while they're on fire and look like a bird.

That said, I have never seen one, and I don't know how many spawn at once.

Yeah I had a 250 damage ascendant flamethrower with with 200 health AKA durability on a level 15 Phoenix perfectly trapped started at the beginning of the Heatwave and only got about 20%. Have yet to actually see how far are the wyvern actually progresses the team supposedly the wiring is supposed to be better but is impossible to that see The Taming bar while you're on the wyvern.

As far as it not losing tame progression it actually loses progression quite quickly when not on fire. It does not seem to carry the progression from Heatwave to Heatwave either. As far as I can tell the taming process for for the Phoenix is fairly broken and not really currently doable properly

The only thing more broken than the Phoenix probably the leopluradon
