Anyone else a bit disappointed by the Phoenix?

Its no-where near as powerful as they had made it up to be.
If it has a buff during a heat-wave, that doesn't matter whatsoever. A heatwave is short as hell and a player can barely survive in one with the proper materials anyways.

Damage-wise, it sucks.
Health-wise, it sucks.
Weight-wise, its worse than literally any Ptera you can go and tame on The Island. A 150 has 90 weight. 90.
Dunno about speed, but since its a flier I'm willing to be that it sucks.

Remember that forge-ability they hyped up? Useless. Totally useless. Same speed as a regular primitive forge - only guess what? It can only carry 10% of the amount a regular force can hold.

As far as I can tell it can't be ridden, hell it can't even land. Its a reskinned bat that shoots flame. that's pretty much it. This has got to be a bigger disappointment than the Liopleurodon.

For an animal that is as rare and hard-to-acquire as this creature is, you think they'd make it better than your average Argentavis. I've always been a fan of ARK but I've got to say, this is probably the worst disappointment they have ever added to this game.

-update- It can be ridden! Its slower than your average... everything. At least the stamina is respectable... A little bit.

Honestly, a moth is probably a better tame.

The Phoenix has received a significant buff in the health department and now spawns in 3s over on SE during a heatwave. Not a bad trade-off.
Honestly I think it needed more of a buff in the weight department(ahem intended use is useless) but I suppose we can wait and see.

I personally hope for a few more buffs in the stamina, weight, and speed department.

Especially weight. If you can tame a 150 and it literally be unable to carry a survivor equipped with basic tools, there's a major problem. The average Pelagornis has more weight than these things.

I honestly can't believe they would hype something up so much and literally make it completely and utterly useless in every single field of statistic.

There's not a single thing on this animal that makes it better than a bloody Pteranodon. An average Ptera is faster, in some cases can have more health, deals more base dmg, hell, it even has more weight in most cases.
Maybe the Phoenix has better stam, but that's about it.

Compare an Argent and a Phoenix.
Argent's better in every single field as well. Really now, why would they hype it up so much and make it so trash? It's really, really disappointing.

Phoenix was supposed to be a rideble mount they nerf it so hard its not bigger then a dimporh even a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dodo has more carry weight

Btw if you hold space you can speed up quite fast on the thing

Wildcard hasn't done a thing about the Liopleurodon, and that was a giant letdown as well.
If literally nobody wants to tame an animal, don't you think something needs to be fixed about that? Nope~!

Looks like there's only hope for a mod that actually makes the Phoenix the beast it was supposed to be instead of a glorified lawn ornament with the statistics of tissue paper.
