It'll spawn above you, not in front. You might have copied a fullstop at the end or something.

Okay, steps to take in summoning a Phoenix;
Set off a heat wave- cheat ce start_superheat
spawn a phoenix- cheat SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/ScorchedEarth/Dinos/Phoenix/Phoenix_Character_BP.Phoenix_Character_BP'" 0 0 0 180

If you spawn the Phoenix before you activate the heat wave, it will remain as an ash pile, invisible, until the heatwave comes in. After that tame however you want to, either by burning it alive with a fire wyvern, the dotame cheat or forcetame cheat

Or gmsummon. But you'd have to do it your way for it to be more legit.

You don't NEED to do this.
