Wind Turbines on the Island
I'm dipping my toes into Scorched Earth for the first time after spending a few hundred hours on the island. I noticed the wiki states that on the Island wind is 100% everywhere. Does this mean 1 turbine fully replaces a generator on the island?

I also noticed that generators have a feature to power on when unpowered, but do they turn back off after the turbines kick back on?

Thanks for any insights guys.

I have not played in a while so this might have changed, but as of about 4 months ago, yes, turbines could be used to replace generators on the island, they ran all the time.

If your generators auto power on for any reason, you have to manually turn them off.

So are you saying that i don't need a noisy gasoline generator on my raft for keeping its fridge, lamps and turrets on but i can put on it a giant wind turbine that looks like a technological and ecological sail?

100%? That is not true at all. I placed a wind turbine at my base at red obelisk a few weeks ago, it turned on for about half an hour around 7am game time. Complete waste of my time.

None of my windmills run 100% of the time. Maybe 20%
I'm in South zone 1

Thanks for the inputs guys.

I was able to test myself and found that the turbine only seems to work during the day. It shut off at night and turned back on at 7am from what I saw. Makes them rather pointless for me since you have to turn off the generator every hour or so and I already have basilosaurus' for gasoline. I was hoping for a lazy solution to having electricity at outposts but I guess not, hehe.
