Yeah I've thought about trying to block off all the areas where dinos can come in, but the base is huge. Right now I've basically just got rexs guarding every part of the base, but it's still really annoying. The problem is that I have dinos spawning in the middle of my base, because my base is quite large. A gun to pick off the little jerks would be awesome. The brontos are walking in though, so perhaps block off that area with several hundred walls will do it.
The Tek turret could also do some improvement with having a master exclusive list that can be applied to all turrets instead of working on each turret individually that will only detect dinos within range which is basically useless as you would have to wait around till basically all the dinos you dont want the turret to shoot at to be near each turret. Unless I'm missing something that can be done about this.
And don't think a cliff ABOVE your base protects you, wild dinos take zero fall damage jumping off the cliff into your base. Build atop the cliff, not below.
Pillars are a one time structure cost. Hordes of turrets require generators and much gas.... constant upkeep and one C4 reeks havoc on the wiring.
