Way to make auto turret not suck?
I want the auto turret to kill agressive dinos, like ichthy and pegos and dilos, the stupid stuff that annoy my base. The only option is for the turret to attack ALL wild dinos... This means trikes, and even brontos. Not only is this a waste of ammo, but then the dinos get aggressive, and wreck my base. One swipe of a high level bronto can kill my babies a good distance away, break my wiring and pipes, etc.
Is there any way to make this not suck? For ichthys to die horrible painful deaths automatically, but brontos are left alone?

Rather than going with the complaint thought process, why not work on strategically designing your base layout more effectively to where this isn't an issue? Put walls far enough out that things on the outer perimeter are out of range of the inner turrets, set the inner turrets to wild, and the outer turrets to whatever is appropriate for your play style.

That sounds like what I need, and I waas getting excited, but just realized that Ragnarok doesn't have a bunch of the tek engrams... including the turret. That sucks, lol.

Yeah I've thought about trying to block off all the areas where dinos can come in, but the base is huge. Right now I've basically just got rexs guarding every part of the base, but it's still really annoying. The problem is that I have dinos spawning in the middle of my base, because my base is quite large. A gun to pick off the little jerks would be awesome. The brontos are walking in though, so perhaps block off that area with several hundred walls will do it.

This option is needed, Would make it so much simplier with having the turrets target aggressive dinos instead of killing passive dinos. Also, should be able to flip turrets upside down so they can be mounted below ceilings too. Useful for platform saddles and rafts.

The Tek turret could also do some improvement with having a master exclusive list that can be applied to all turrets instead of working on each turret individually that will only detect dinos within range which is basically useless as you would have to wait around till basically all the dinos you dont want the turret to shoot at to be near each turret. Unless I'm missing something that can be done about this.

Sounds like you should open the dev kit and make a mod :)

The best idea is to just remove all of the pointless stuff. So, everything added in the last year's worth of updates.

Unless you have enough turrtes to take out the intruders quickly, you need to have a cordon of pillars about 7 or 8 foundations farther out than your compound walls to keep their AOE from damaging/killing inside your walls. That distance goes up to about 12 foundations if you live in Giga territory. About 3 to 4 pillars high will stop most dinos from stepping over.... 6 high for Gigas. Higher if the ground slopes.

And don't think a cliff ABOVE your base protects you, wild dinos take zero fall damage jumping off the cliff into your base. Build atop the cliff, not below.

Pillars are a one time structure cost. Hordes of turrets require generators and much gas.... constant upkeep and one C4 reeks havoc on the wiring.

Been asking since they were added to make a neutral option for turrets.
