Because I'm running to high of frame rates for my liking
t.maxfps 60
Dunno why those 2 commands weren't added into the options menu as they're sort of important, but none the less they are here.
Thanks alot
Open up Gameusersettings with notepad
ctrl + F and search "bUseVSync="
change
to
If you use console command above, you will most likely have to retype it every time you launch the game, this way you run it always with vsync when starting.
Weird I get 60 fps on High with my Gtx 980 on my 36" tv ;) Buuuuuuuut I run Win 8 not 10 lol Probably why all that extra running backround apps!
Screens/monitors have refresh rates. Running frames higher than your screen's refresh rate is not advisable as it can burn out your GPU. It has NOTHING to do with what version of OS you are running.
Yup. But most people don't dig into their GPU settings outside of the settings contained in a game.
It is such a default option in most games, devs should include it regardless.
The GameUserSettings file can be used to change Vsync and the Engine file can be used to change the max fps.
Thought I'd bump this thread with a bit more information because it's still very useful.
