Crystal nodes on Ragnarok are garbage?

Why? It's so hard to find a good concentration of them anyway. Why am getting between 1 and 8 crystal per node? I used to get a at least 3x that from nodes on The Island and The Center.

Ice cave at the Jackknife Glacier has a great concentration of crystal down one of the side tunnels. You don't seem to get as many per node as on the Island, this is true.

the best place to go is the cave wit the giant purple crystals in the southwest corner of the map near the wyverns.

Also in the grand canyon area there is a vertical pillar rock formation with water going inside. Swim down there and not only will you gte lots of crystal but also an artifaact.

The server you are on could have lower harvest rates?

The ice cave up in the hills with the dire bears and penguins is my main spot. Also has oil rocks in there too. Can't miss it scoping the landscape as it has a big opening. Fly towards swamp, head inland and look for cave where the snow biome starts. Also has crystal behind a frozen waterfall you need to use a pickaxe to get into, lots more in there.

the caves pointed out above are pretty good locations. if those arent enough or havent respawned yet you can try the under water fields shown on the map. you cant harvest the giant crystals but they tend to have several nodes around each one. if your careful and have a diplocaulus for air and transportation you can get quite a bit. but again its pretty dangerous in those areas.

and yes ragnarok is filled to burst with resources scattered all over the place but thats the trick. all the resources are scattered and readily available to a player of any level so to compensate each node is worth less than normal forcing you to be on the move if you want to build anything above twigs and stones.

There is a huge crystal field in the black lava area above the far end of the canyon.

So, I figured out the trick. I got an ankylo and took it to the frozen lake at like 38,62 or so (it's visible on the map). There's a cave under the ice with two entrances. Came out of there with easily 2k crystal.

both crystal and metal seemed to give me issues on this map which sucks cuss i love the map. then again i also havent built a base i keep scouting for a decent spot and just cant seem to find a spot i feel is ideal. did like the harber north of red ob tell i came back to find a giga using my base as a tooth pick for watever meal it decided to eat.

Then you are not scouting. Really, I cannot understand statements like that. Ragnarok is the "ressource friendliest" map ark has to offer. You find metal in abundance. It`s not like island or center where you have to fly to metal mountain spots. On ragnarok the metal is everywhere.
