First day of ark.

So I got into the game after trying to join a server several times due to them all being full within the first couple of seconds, perfect, a lot of people to play with once I get in!

I get in, create my character and choose a starting location, south is pretty decent, good way to start, it is easy afterall.

Although I forgot, there are many more playing the game right now, starting the exact same places!

Thanks to the starting animation I am immediately killed off by the other players, I can not retaliate, I can not do ♥♥♥♥ because I first have to look at my hands and the chip in my arm before doing anything, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! Alright, I expected as much.

Let us try again, wait for the respawn timer to begone because appearantly I get that when killed even without having played the game at all.

I spawn, same few second animation and hey, during these few seconds I am being attacked again and then killed.

Respawn timer is now two minutes, alright, that is a fair tactic, delay other players so you have more time to build up, to prepare.

Third time.... same thing, killed while not being able to retaliate or run, killed during the starting animation, respawn timer is now even higher :|

It is nice getting to play with even more people, some tries later I actually managed to get through the starting animation, I began playing got to level 20, I got killed by that time along with my friend, they were four against one, fair enough. THAT however was a good way to go out, we had a short fight, we bolaed each other, knocked each other out, cool.

But... I learned that the starting animation SUCKS, as well as the respawn timer. The respawn timer should only be applied if you survived for atleast 3 minutes, having it applied just because you died due to the starting animation it ridicolous. Either that or make me invincible or invisible the first 60 seconds of spawning.

It has been a long time since there were so many players on the servers who just started, this is actually needed now or people will have a hard time actually getting into the game.

Well - there are not enough Servers so all fight for the best spots - sadly i can say get used to it.

Holy crap, people make it sound like I am complaining about being killed LATER in the game.

I want to prevent people being killed while being forced through an animation sequence JUST AS YOU SPAWN.

Being killed after 5 minutes of play is all fair and dandy, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ people, read the post.

Also, I have been through the first couple of weeks when the early access was launched... it has just been a very long time since the servers were this full - I love it.

Hm maybe try to complain at developer side if the can shorten the sequence - but there is one Problem - nearly no Support :-)

A spawn protection time would be plenty useful.
But judging by the last 20 patches to the game, Studio Wildcard would implement this in such a way, that people find a way to exploit it and have god mode forever! :D

Ever opened the settings menu? I don't think so... otherwise you would have seen that you can disable the spawn animation.

So 90% of the problems your described are solved.

And on unofficial servers...there is a possibility to adjust the timers... and there are some mods which allow more spawns on 1 bed too (S+ for example)... So why playing on an official when your not lucky with the settings? There are 14 000 ARK servers .... there should be ones which fits your needs.

Think of if trhey removed the spawning animation; everyone on the beach would at all times have to expect a stab in the back from an insta-spawning player. With the animation they at least have a few seconds to spot them. If they aren't watching, on them.
