Eurypterid Bugged???

So. I encountered a eurypterid in the water. I left the water. It followed me out of the water and up the mountain to my base. Guess what? It's friends followed. Is this a bug or am I missing something about the anatomy and physiology of the eurypterid. I would have figured they would die as soon as they got out of the water due to not being able to breathe.

they have been able to "walk" onto land for a while lol, I think the devs thought that since they spawn so deep in the ocean that they wouldn't be able to climb all the way up to land on their own. that or it was just overlooked lol. Also think of them as the first scorpion(they eventually walked onto land but were mostly living in the water) they have book lungs that sort of allow them to breath on land but not for long i think

but it is funny watching them swim on land lol
