Fastest flyer?

Im going to try to steal a wyvern egg so i need the fastst flyer for it, who is it, ptero? tape?

wyvern is the fastest flyer unfortunately but the griffin can out run them for a short time by diving course this doesnt help if you dont have access to a ragnarok server to tame one

All those flyers will be food for Wyverns. For first Wyvern egg you may have to go with a land dino.

Tame a High level Thyla and level the movement speed. Then grab whatever Wyvern egg and used that Wyvern as your Wyvern Egg work horse.

Griffin is the only flyer that will outrun angry Wyverns chasing you (apart from Wyvern of course). Everything else is dead. Even using terrain/buildings to obstruct them doesn't work so well as they chase for a while on an egg steal.

Yes, your right, Griffin. If don't have a Griffin then will have to use Thyla.

also nice how can use weapons while riding them so have option of fighting them if necessary though takes a bit of practice to do that while avoiding damage

I'd say go with a Griffin...... they're fast, manuverable, and tanky enough to withstand many attacks from a Wyvern....... don't forget about the strategy of kiting the wyverns to a herd of herbivores, they will completely ignore you until they've killed all the herbivores, giving you a chance to get the heck out of draw distance and lose their aggro entirely.
It's pretty easy if I'm being honest.... the hardest part is waiting on the right opportunity to dip into the scar and grab an egg.

I still loot eggs regularly with a ptera, they're also faster than wild wyverns despite what we were lead to believe
