Anyone having trouble with breeding? As in the dinos not mating?
I am trying to breed two Argentavis together, a male and a female. Both are on wander and neither are on follow. Neither are spayed/nuetered. Both say ready to mate. Now I've done this before dozens of times and have 14 and 15 generations of birds.

Any ideas? Suggestions? And no, they are not related. (jokes)

I'm having a similar issue. Trying to mate a 2nd gen female Argy (88% imprinted) with a male we just captured. They aren't even mate boosting each other. Both are on wander, and not on follow, and both are ready to mate.

I presume you can breed captured dinos with raised dinos?

Edit: I tried removing one from the other for a bit. When I flew her back to him, mate boosting was established. But when I enabled wandering on them again, mate boosting dropped off but mating still didn't begin.

Whistle stop repeatedly, it stops them walking off

you need to be sure you are far away from a drop, sometimes you can't breed the dinos if you are near a drop, i dont know why, dometimes the places in the map are weird to, just move the dinos to other location and try again

Thanks for that idea. I shall try in a minute. We have bred dinos successfully in precisely this spot before, however.

Working here. Just put 2 horses together to get busy. Expecting a foal in a couple hours. They gestate fast on the ARK. Official server 173.

Someone on my server has this going on with a couple of their ankies (unofficial, but no mods)
Believe it's only two or so of their females that are being stubborn, others work fine.

Try flying one out of render distance and back again. If it's unofficial have the admin restart if they're willing.

It's my server, I did a restart, no change.
Since the Devs told hundreds of people to put their dinos into obelisks before the 29th I can't think they'd do something to make obelisk dinos unbreedable, so I'm still at a loss as to what can be the issue.

I've even tried breeding them with others and nothing.

Maybe have solution? Happened to me today with 2 trikes. Had enabled both wandering AND mating, both 'ready to mate' but they would not mate. I first set both to disable both wandering and mating, then took each for a quick ride out of range of each other, took them back, enabled wandering ONLY, and they began mating right away. I doubt taking them out of range did anything, thinking more that the enable wandering AND enable mating conflicted with each other and that only 1 of them should be enabled to get around this issue. Worked for me, hope it works for you.

I had the same issue here. Try cryopoding them

Try playing some barry white lowering the lights and leaving them alone

Modded LAN server long past the days where wandering was needed and I'm having the same issue. The wild tames will breed but the offspring refuse to mate with the females. I have cryo podded them, gone out of render, and restarted... no change.

So I did overlook 1 thing. I was using a mix of spawned and wild caught tames. Spawned dinos will NOT mate with wild tames, only each other but their offspring seem to be able to. I'm not sure if it was a cloning cooldown, the gender swap, or a mix of both... but it may have resolved itself.

Not sure if there are any of you that did this too, or if there are anymore bits that I am missing, but I'm gonna keep testing.

And there it is. With Naj's SF Mod all wilds are SF, spawned dinos are not, at least this is the biggest setback I have found in my tests.

TL:DR - Spawned dinos will not mate with wild tames & Modded tames will not mate with vanilla tames, spawned or otherwise.
