Vacuum Compartments and Underwater Dinos.
Soooo, yesterday we got the bright idea to build a water tight base on the back of a Mosasaurus. We got the whole thing built out and even had the saddle in the air tight building. We were so excited to take it out for a spin only to have it randomly die. We logged off for the night being pretty upset all our work was gone. Today we came on and thought, "Why not try it on a Plesiosaur instead?" so we did.. got basic structure finished and took it out for a spin. Maybe 20 seconds later it also randomly died. Can someone explain this to me? Is this a bug or is this intentional to keep us from having fun and being creative with the game?

bump

I think, it is somehow registering the mosa/plesi as out of the water, which, is death to water creatures. Possible bug as I have never heard of this before.

Yeah its a problem if you get your dino too close to the area it *thinks* its out of water.. (Wildcard's infamously poor collision detection of course) The best solution is to only play in a modded server.. Structures Plus in particular, you can build glass walls around your vacuum compartments to create a buffer, they're as strong as metal in terms of damage resistance and you can set them to have no borders so they can't be seen, but will act as a physical barrier to keep your dinos away from the no go area.

In all honesty, you guys are the people I feel bad for but wc could care less about this. They could have fixed this as this isn't the first post I have read about this. Collision detection is one of the most important things to get right in a game and these ass clowns just don't care. There was a guy on these forums a while ago that got banned and kept making accounts because jen has an ego the size of Africa. However, after hours of this this dev took a half hr and fixed a block issue the op had gotten repeatedly banned for. Maybe wc needs more of that treatment to get off their royal asses and fix ♥♥♥♥. Or a better idea is let the white knights have it and just stop buying this ♥♥♥♥ show.
Well, we orginally thought it was the out of water thing.. but the second time we had Infinitestats running on the animal and it still just randomly died.

No no no no, that wouldn't stop its death. You see, infinitestats, while giving something, infinite hp, oxygen, stamina, ammo, doesn't stop forced deaths. When a water creature exits the water enough, its a forced death, it doesn't actually take any damage for infinitestats to stop. In fact, I think even God mode wouldn't stop the death.

God stops the death. I've did the fly cheat and flew around the map on a dolphin when i got it close to land.
