Which Dino's auto gather?
I'm trying to find a list of dinos that gather resources automatically when on wander but I can't find any. I'm thinking of just having for example a doed which I know harvests stone be followed by like a carno or allo. If you know of any please list them in the comments.

As far as I'm aware, it's not really worth using those dino's "auto-gather" features.

Off the top of my head there's atleast the doed, gorilla, and beaver. I believe tyhere's more of course just can't remember as I never really used the feature.

Its not worth even using the auto gather, the dino ends up wandering through everything including walls you have to protect them and sometime even falling through the map itself.

when i played official. I set 2 deods on wander to auto gather stone , with 1 high level sabortooth around. I would walk around getting wood/thatch. go to doed. buitld walls foundations ect.... place on sabotooth. repeat untill all three animals are filled weight full of walls and roofs and dino gates.

Never liked that feature myself. Everything always dies.

Forget that auto-gather. Looks good on the paper, but it is awful Implement into the game. You have to overwatch them the whole time, because they run/glitching all over the place, including through walls, stones, gates, etc. And even when you have some dinos protecting them via following, in the most cases they all end up get killed by something, because the following dinos are glitching/stucking as well.

It is too dangerous to justify the little resources you get. I know it is sad.

The Therizinosaurus auto-gathers wood and thatch
The Doedicurus auth-gathers stone (for some very strange reason, the Ankylo cant)
That stupid monkey-thing can auto gather fiber I think

Thanks for the info but I still like the idea of it like just letting my dinos wander in my base and collect resources. I've heard that behemoth Dino gates don't affect it (I have behemoth gate walls around my base)

We had two doedi's disappear while on wander inside a walled area. I suggest using dinos that you don't mind losing. Moschops do a very good job. It would just be nice to be able to have another dino follow it as a bodyguard.

I had 3-4 doeds wander for a few weeks with no issues. Depends a lot on where you let them wander. Common sense does have to be used. I.e. dont expect them to survive in a high risk area.

If they can be ridden, it's easy to have a bodyguard Dino follow them , do the same thing when you want a Dino to follow you, just be riding the harvester.

Common sense doesn't help when the game can glitch and they walk right through a solid wall.

Hmm what does moschops gather? And I've thought of having like 2 carnos follow my doed around my base.
