Also spike walls help a bit if your able to make them .
tame a raptor. it is easy. bola it, then tranq.
you can also build a taming trap (3 * 3 * 2 hut preferably from stone, but wood may also be good, on one side build ramps, lure the raptors inside, run out and close the door, then you can tame at your leisure)
lure the spinos away with it.
or
just build a base somewhere else :D
a small island is best because usually land dinos don't go there unless aggroed.
or
surround your base with fence foundation and walls far enough from your hut. dinos don't aggro the buildings, if no tames or players are in the immediate area.
tame 10-15 of them. they can kill a spino.
dimorphs are OP and evil.
I support this message!
Edit: With 9 dilos and a trike I quite easily took out a level 6 alpha raptor. I expect spinos might go down similarly.
As others have suggested, you can pretty easily train them away to the far side of the island. They will be out of sight and (mostly) out of mind. It will give you enough time to level up if you want to stay put.
Here's another thing. I have killed spinos with 4 or 5 pteras. It's hilarious.
