So,does anyone know where to find these dang things? I've been searching the sea floor and all I've found is oil, eels, and mantas.

Viking bay actually has loads, just not where you'd expect them. There's a cave a little north of the sunken ship and all along it there's lots of spawns. Just beware the lobsters, those things will ruin your day fast. On an upside they're actually a decent source of them too if you're careful and keep a distance with a crossbow. Always bring a water mount when going in there, I found frogs to be exceptionally good at taking them on.

Between viking bay and east of it where the lava field starts along the coast, there are some rocky islands with shallow waters around them, there are some pearls in there.

In viking bay there are a few pearl spots too.

If you go east of the blue obelisk, there is a rocky dome structure. head down into the waters deep and stick around in the seaweed areas and you'll eventually find some pearls there too.

Also, head into the mountains south of viking bay where there are ponds and small rivers look for beavers and special round and straight beaver dams special to the map in addition to the normal beaver dams found typically when beavers make them on other maps. Becareful though, the concentrations of beavers in those waters will swarm you pretty fast and kill those not prepared(or on boosted settings).

Try this:

You didn't say where you were... Southwest of the blue obelisk, there's a flat sea shelf with them scattered about. If you have an ichthy or diplocaulus, they're easy to gather.

The best spot is the water tunnel in Viking bay. You'll find LOADS of pearls with hardly any critters around. If you have a decent scuba tank and water mount, they're a piece of cake to obtain.

I currently have a Diplocaulus and a Megalodon, both currently at Highlands Bay.Also,I do have a scuba tank, and I DID have a harpoon gun,but an Ichthyornis attacked me and now I can't find it.

Oooh... I *hate* those bloody things!
Tip: it seems that if you keep meat in your inventory, even rotten meat, they'll steal that first. The exception is if you're holding a weapon, they'll pull it from your hands and drop it nearby. A spy glass counts as a weapon (according to the message I saw yesterday when one stole mine).

Can you link me to a map that has the location of that tunnel marked?

I think this is the one he's talking about (I just happened to have watched this last night :) ):

Jump to about 7 minutes in to see the dry entrance, away from the nasties. You'll have to fly your diplocaulus in with a pteranodon or argy if you want to use it, or just use scuba if you've already got a set. The advantage is, you avoid the critters in the bay.

Well,I tried the cave and got jumped by three sabertooths which killed my Diplocaulus and made my Wyvern fly away and almost get killed by a Rex. I had to cheat to actually get back on my Wyvern.

Interesting thing about it: there's a second water entrance in the Viking bay. No need to drag your dinos into that cave.

But as I said,I don't know where the water entrance is.

Jump to near the end of the video, he comes out by the viking ship that's sunk there... and very quickly dies trying to help his friend who also dies from attacks from eurypterids. Every time I've been in that area, it's been swarming with sharks too.

Once you´ve seen the entrance at the sunken ship/viking bay it´s super easy to farm pearls there.
Also, get an angler they can farm pearls at an insane rate! :)

You have to keep it at 0 (the last slot of your hotbar) like with passive tames, it will steal ALWAYS what´s in this slot is first, if the slot is empty it will pick any random item from your inventory.

I got to the cave entrace, and flew around the area to see if there were any major threats around. There weren't any so I got in the water and swam to the cave. The moment I get to the entrance 5 Megalodons and an Alpha Megalodon attack me. If I have to go through something like that to get an almost essential reasource,I may just end up dropping this game soon.
