So basicylly Studio Wildcard didn't even program a game directly from the ground on (ie. the first main loop).
in a few easy words: They just have added their own cosmetics around it and called it a game (for a full price ofc.)
You can see similiar things to Borderlands.
There the main game engine is called "willowgame"
That's so unfair, I mean no one else does that, right?
They should have programmed their own engine like Bohemia did for DayZ, so we have to wait a few years longer for full release.
Makes perfectly sense.
Or they simply couldn't do it, as the folder structure is somewhere hardcoded in the executable?
Or they might have been able, but actually were to lazy to, as you said.
Whatever reason it is, the game works. It's all what actually should count.
@Ostseekrabbe
Why have you deleted your "Reported" post about that guy who called you names?
I love such comments. ^^
You don't have to reinvent the wheel to create awesome games. Unless of course the game is very unique that no engine will fulfill the game requirement - which I doubts for Ark (you know where I am heading to).
I have not removed my post, it seems some random mod might have deleted it (for whatever reason)
Probably because naming and shaming isn't allowed?
