Why is it called ShooterGame
It really annoys me...

Will it change on release date if you re build it in unreal engine?

The word "shootergame" just really annoys me since I sometimes forget the names of games and I say that instead. (dont judge my memory lol)

It kinda bothers me too, lol, so you're not alone.

That happens when you license an already existing game engine like the UnrealEngine4 and just add your own assets to it like models, textures, sounds.
So basicylly Studio Wildcard didn't even program a game directly from the ground on (ie. the first main loop).
in a few easy words: They just have added their own cosmetics around it and called it a game (for a full price ofc.)
You can see similiar things to Borderlands.
There the main game engine is called "willowgame"

OMG yes, those shmocks aren't able to program their own engine, rather license one and do their own stuff with an already finished engine.
That's so unfair, I mean no one else does that, right? :awkward:

They should have programmed their own engine like Bohemia did for DayZ, so we have to wait a few years longer for full release. :awkward:

Makes perfectly sense. :bernie:

Or they weren't allowed to?
Or they simply couldn't do it, as the folder structure is somewhere hardcoded in the executable?
Or they might have been able, but actually were to lazy to, as you said. :awkward:

Whatever reason it is, the game works. It's all what actually should count.

@Ostseekrabbe
Why have you deleted your "Reported" post about that guy who called you names?
I love such comments. ^^

ShooterGame is a default name for games made in the engine they use.... hope they change it when on full release.

You don't have to reinvent the wheel to create awesome games. Unless of course the game is very unique that no engine will fulfill the game requirement - which I doubts for Ark (you know where I am heading to).

I have not removed my post, it seems some random mod might have deleted it (for whatever reason)

Probably because naming and shaming isn't allowed?
Yaka Aug 3, 2017 @ 5:32am
I never named or shamed anyone.
Blackwolfe Aug 3, 2017 @ 5:33am
Then I have no idea.
Yaka Aug 3, 2017 @ 5:37am
Yeah it gets out of hand quite easily with these people like 9/11 Truth NOW throwing insults at others for no reason.
