How low does your FPS go in big bases?

Hey all,

Im currently using a GTX 1070 with a i7600 and 16gb ram. when in big bases and lots of dinos, ive seen the game dip to 37fps then back to 41fps after a few seconds. just wondering what you guys are running and how far have you seen the game dip in big bases?

Sounds normal....

When I last played I could get 60-80fps running around. At base it would drop to 15. The main problem is the hovering names.

Ya sure... along with the entire hud....

just found it (backspace), i think its crazy how names can cause such a FPS drop

Backspace hides the entire UI, but you can hide just the names with the "DEL" key (or maybe it's the "END" key, I can't remember for sure atm but its one of those two).

Recently? I don't know I only stumbled on it accidentally a couple weeks ago.

END key to disable floating name of ur dino except the dino that are very near you, best feature so far.
The thing is u have to activate it each time u log on

Currently running 2 980's but only 1 for ark atm. Im very tempted to grab 2 1080ti's but im on the fence about waiting for volta. In game i get a good 50-60 fps for most things. Game runs well enough with mostly high/epic settings...... Until i hit my friends base. It gets seriously bad.


By the water at the tribe tame limit (or close to it) he was at 470 last time i got a count. Lol. My frame rate drops to about 11 fps unless i hit backspace to remove the ui and names then it improves again

Been a long time- I cant remember when I didnt use it I guess.

ill dip to around 10-20fps in huge bases. maybe 500 dinos in the area. hitting backspace brings it up to 50fps

dont bother with the 1080s. youll dip to 20fps on it either way on huge bases..noone escapes 20fps on this game

Actually saw 3 fps with the overspawn glitch. Didnt think id get out alive.
