Unfortunately, the game is unlikely to go on sale until Christmas, as it's price was just recently adjusted in light of the upcoming August 8th launch date.

It'll definitely be worth that $40 and worth the wait though. Look forward to it. ;)

$40 would be pricey to me, but if they fix some of the major problems as of late I would consider buying an alt in the future at that price. Not at 60 though :)

Yes but previously this game wasn't very good or handled well, as it being unstable ment it didn't matter how good my pc was, it would lag, crash, and just suck in general.

Now it's a solid game.

What's happening on Aug 8th? Huge dildo sale? Joking.
But is the game getting out of beta or something? Are they adding a new map or something?

It's coming out of Early Access and being fully released(hence the price hike)

I think I paid $16 and change quite a while ago. With the recent price hike, I doubt it'll be that cheap again anytime soon (if ever).

The game's stability now is about on par with how its been over the last 2 years. The 8th is just a marketing day and nothing more as we'll still be encountering issues well past it. We still havent gotten the cpu/gpu optimizations in and likely it wont go in before the 8th. As for being "good", well, its been in the top sales and top played ranks for 2 years before the price increase.

Price wise, for future sales after this hike is just anyone's speculation. No one is going to be able to give you an accurate answer. Outside of using a third party seller, I doubt you'll see the 10-15 buck prices for at least another year or more as they can slowly staircase down the price over multiple sales. I mean a 50% off sale for example is really just going to put the game at its previous non sale price and such.

the price is steep even i will admit - but when u flip the coin u will see that Ark has been on sale for $7 in the past.And as someone said above everyone knew the price was going up so bad luck if you didnt buy it when it was dirt cheap.

Good news though - give it a while and it be lowered back down to the $20 mark.
