I'm afraid that's where your problom lies. Fliers will always be the go to mount for distance, even excluding the fact that your unlikely to run into enemies on flight you still have the no randome cliffs our rocks to navigate, that's what makes fliers so viable, i wone even take a thyleo to a drop because god knows whats between me and it. I don't have a problem with buffing land mounts to make them better for exploring, but you need to realize that no amount of buffing/nerfing will remove people from their fliers. I'm taking you seriously, i'm seriously thinking about how to make land mounts better, please don't lead me to believe that you think theirs that silver bullet that will make everyone flock to land mounts.
Ground mounts are the ONLY things used in raiding. Soak with Turtles/Elementals/Rexes that are being healed by Daeodons and buffed by Yutyrannuses. What's your point? You want Sabers to be used in PvP? Go play a server with a level cap of 37 and fliers disabled.
Fliers are not used in PvP. Fliers are used against complete morons who don't punish the picker. Fliers are used as transport. Fliers are NOT siege tames and are NOT DPS tames.
Oh, and yeah, cute little video of a guy with classic flyers. You sit here and ♥♥♥♥♥ about flyers and then provide a video of someone on a classic flyer? LMFAO! They're no where near that fast or competent any more.
If you can't make a compelling argument in favor of your point, is that point worth your time? I mean, you had to post a video of someone on a pre-nerf flyer. I think most people will agree that form of flyer was ridiculous, but come on man that's why they got nerfed.
This isn't a response that's going to help your argument.
I don't think this is necessarily true. You can still pick people off rexes, wyverns can still use breath attack run bys, and griffin bombing is a thing. Flyers aren't as strong, but having some air support is useful. Land dinos just handle the siege role.
It's on official. Look at any other video he has and it's official with mostly flyers being used
He called me a noob and said I have no idea what I'm talking about. I have played this game since The first winter wonderland update. Trust me, I know how this game has been
Picking people only works when the person you pick is a moron. If you pick someone who always has grappling hooks and parachutes you will lose your flyer. All it takes is a good damage firearm to kill it, all it takes to get un-picked is grappling the flyer and then pressing C. Picking simply is not a viable option when you play against anyone other than morons.
Wyverns and their attack weapons are minimal. If you're in range to hit someone with your breath attack you're in range of being grappled to and losing your Wyvern. Though, I do agree they provide some form of harass/utility in PvP so they're not entirely useless.
Griffins are the most viable in PvP due to the speed and burst damage. They are, however, easy to deal with after the initial burst. Again, though, not entirely useless and provide something in world PvP.
Raiding? None of these tames provide a single use in raiding. Anyone who brings Wyverns or Griffins to an enemy's base is a noob that should just go home. Raids consist of dodging enemy snipers, draining turrets, shooting enemy players, and strategizing on the fly when they do something unexpected.
You're cute. You actually believe he's on official when he loots several items from someone else's corpse and they provide 0 change in weight =D 1:15 in the cute little phony video you linked. GG.
Also, the weights don't line up as a whole in that video. Watch the times he actually opens the inventory. His weight is completely off. The values are not official weight values. Most items that would be anywhere close to "heavy" are reduced, like the whip not weighing 8 for example.
For the sake of argument, though, let's say he's on official. He's on a glass Ptero picking idiots up who try to club his Ptero. GG. You proved the point. You watch these videos so apparently you're in a similar mindset. The people he picked are complete idiots who probably don't even PvP. They're probably random shmoes who don't even know they're on a PvP server and wonder wtf is happening when they get picked.
Again, only using flyers
Now this is a viable argument. Primitive needs some love, and I personally would love to play on Primitive servers if there was a wee bit more attention given to it by the devs.
A discussion on balancing tames and pretty much everything else in primitive is a viable, necessary discussion imo. I could get on board with that.
You are called a noob because only a noob would find it worthy to start two threads on why flyers being able to pick is SOOOOOO overpowered. Anyone who's progressed beyond stone knows that when you get picked, you:
1. Take a long sip of your coffee.
2. Laugh to yourself and get a bit giddy with the joy of your soon-to-be kill.
3. Pull out your <insert preferred firearm here> and shoot the idiot's Ptero a few times.
4. Use your chute and laugh as the "big bad pvp guy" is so stupid he doesn't even have a chute.
5. Loot him and remember "oh yeah, he's the noob who picked me, he doesn't have anything of interest to me".
Seatbelts are so far beyond necessary/wanted (especially with the recent flyer changes) that most people will not agree with your points. In fact, most people are happy with a lot of the content and just want optimizations and bug fixes.
My Longneck one-shots most Pteros. I say most, but I haven't seen a Ptero that it doesn't get one-shot by it yet, just being realistic as I don't think anyone pumps ONLY hp on a Ptero.
The recent changes require people to pump Stamina and Weight on a Ptero for it to do anything at all. Therefor, they're pure glass. They're useless for anything that could put them in a situation where they will take damage.
