How to see on what server a dino was tamed?
Hello!

I'm a server admin and I have the download dinos allowed.
I know, I know. It's a temporary setting and I will disable it soon.

But, I suspect that someone spawned dinos on his SinglePlayer and downloaded them on my server.

Is there anyway to check at what server a dino was tamed?

I read about this feature on official servers, that if you kill a tamed dino and look at its corpse, you can see the name of the server it was tamed.

I wonder if there is a mod that can show me this info, by looking at a tamed dino.

Can anyone help me with this, or suggest me any idea to identify if a dino was tamed on this server or any other?

Ultimately, does it matter? A dino is a dino, unless it is massively OP. He may have tamed them legitimately in his single-player game anyway.

You could check the dinos ancestor hystory you could possibly find it there. The Showdebug command might let you see the dinos ai information but I haven't tested this since most dinos moved between Arks gets affected by the current Arks server settings, meaning if it was an OP dino it doesn't necessarily mean it will be OP on your server.

It's a Wyvern level 1600+.
I looked the stats using the Super Spyglass (mod) and I calculated that the starting (hatching) level was Level 1500.
I suspect that he used the GMSummon command to spawn a level 1000 Wyvern.
My server is PVE, so there is not any danger, but it is not fair for other players.

Can you tell me how to do this, please?

The ancestry can be found in the dinos Ui and the command can be used with admin commands by pressing Tab and enter admincheat Showdebug on the targeted dino it should show most of its basic info and if it isn't part of the original ark it should state it as a transfer
I think not 100% sure the commands are always changing

Personally, regardless of wether they got it legit or otherwise, the more important question is - is it appropriate for your server? If you dont run a very high level server, it doesnt fit. So ask them to transfer it out (if thats the case).

This is why allowing downloading on a server is never a good idea, there will always, always be a player who admin spawned a dino in single player and then transfers it over.

Normally the 'source' of the transfer only shows up once the dino dies (shows up on the corpse name)

Do you have room to have a second server? You could copy the world file, kill the dino and then read where it was from

if you have logs activated, you can look on your server in /ShooterGame/Saved/Logs/ directory
Open the files starting with "ServerGame" and if the dino has been tamed on your server, it should be loged there. If you can find lot of other tamed dino but not this one ....

It wasnt good on officials either ,it failed first time around but for whatever reason wc decided to reintroduce it yet has same problems as it did the first time ....

showdebug does nothing!
Al tried all of the parameters showed on wiki, but nothing useful for me. ( http://ark.gamepedia.com/Console_Commands#ShowDebug )

On my server, I have wild dinos up to Level 300, and a tamed dino can be leveled-up 255 times.
So, a Wyvern lvl 1600+ is too OP.

I wanted to allow players to transfer their dinos from the previous server we were playing (the previous server wan't mine, so I couldn't make a cluster id).

I copied the server files to my local (Single Player) and typed "GiveToMe" to the wyvern. Looked at the inventory, but nothing shows if it was tamed on another server.
Then, I typed "Kill" and then looked at the corpse but nothing, again!

This is the best solution, so far.

THANK YOU ALL for your replies.
