MY CHATBOX DOESN'T WANT TO WORK HELP!!!

so ive tried everything from pressing all the keys to verifying ark on steam .... i just can't use my chatbox when my tribe members are online but when they aren't i can talk normaly with people on global and insert and / work too. So i don't understand why i cant chat like is there something im missing? please someone help meh!!!!!

make sure its not autolock in settings and change the key in setting if u can.

I've had my chat not work a couple times in ark right at launch, and mine was not due to any options changes as I had not changed anything. After rebooting, it worked fine. Both times my chat didn't work for me is when my sound seemed to be stuck a bit after launch. Anyways.. reboot fixed it. No setting changes needed.

I've been having this bug for the past 3 days where I can not open chat no matter what I do I've validated files of ark I've reinstalled ark ive restarted my pc I've restarted steam ive change options form custom to default I've changed keyboards I've done all I can do I've tried using chat in single-player still don't work I've asked friends if they can use chat on the server and see chat they said they can but I cannot I've tried to fix it so much I'm on the brink of giving up if anyone can help me that would be appreciated.
